The amazing benefits of essential oil diffusers!

I have to say that I absolutely love my essential oil diffusers. I have them in our bedrooms, living room and I even bring one with me when I travel. These diffusers are great because in addition to making my home smell nice, the oils that are being diffused into the air also have wonderful health benefits. The diffused oils are helpful for purification, antibacterial, relaxation, mood enhancement, increase of metabolism and a wide variety of other uses. For me, a busy mom with 3-boys, it’s  such a simple thing that  I can do to promote our overall well being.

One of my favorite oils to diffuse is the Slim and Sassy blend. This particular oil smells great and also increases the metabolism. Another of my go to blends is Breath. This is great if someone is stuffy or has sinus issues. I just pop some drops of Breath into my diffuser and it really seems to help. Then there is On Guard, which not only helps with cold or virus symptoms but is also helpful in preventing everyone else in the house from getting sick.

These diffusers are also a great alternative to chemical air fresheners.  There are so many different scents to choose from, and in my opinion, they smell way better. This is also great for people with chemical sensitivity as these oils are pure, organic, and non toxic. I have actually never used traditional air fresheners. They are too strong and fake smelling for me. I am also very aware of home many chemicals and toxins are used to make the synthetic fresheners. Making my home smell nice without the use of potentially hazardous chemicals is very import to me and why I love these oils so much.

Essential oils

Essential Oils are one of natures most abundant gifts. They are obtained from the plant which they are extracted from. There are a variety of wonderful uses for essential oils. Some of my favorites are  aromatherapy, medicinal purposes, cleaning, self care, and bug repellent. I personally enjoy blending my own fragrances and creating my own air fresheners. Essential oils are not only an all natural way to support your body but a great way to clean your home.

Using what nature has provided for us is not only necessary but the healthiest option. To me Essential Oils just seem like the obvious choice. They are a wonderful way to freshen up your space and clean your home with non-toxic ingredients. They work especially great because some oils are antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. They also have numerous health benefits and are used in the treatment of: depression, ADHD, posttraumatic stress disorder, hormone imbalances, pain relief, and symptoms from the common cold, just to name a few. For therapeutic results the oil must be pure and not synthetic. This is why I use and recommend doTerra Essential Oils.

One particular blend of oils that I like to use is: 2-drops of lavender, 2-drops of lemon, 2-drops of peppermint

This combination works great for seasonal allergies. They are a simple, inexpensive and effective way that I can offer relief to my children. The oils can be rubbed directly on the body or placed in a diffuser. I like to do both and the great thing about the diffuser is that our whole family gets to breath in the healing oils. I know that for me, a mother of three children and four pets, I personally don’t want to add harsh, harmful chemicals to our bodies. Tibetan Bowls are very useful in breaking up energetic blocks with in the body. They help the body to clear away and release stuck energy. Since the body is naturally vibrating at its own frequency when there is an issue in a particular area it may have dense lower vibrating energy. I often come across someone who has no idea what Reiki is. So, I decided to write this particular issue devoted to that topic.  What is Reiki? Reiki is a very useful tool that can be used for a variety of things.

Reiki has been around for 100yrs. and first began in Japan. However, today Reiki is practiced worldwide by an array of people. Reiki is a method of energy healing that is very useful. From health care professionals to stay at home moms, everyone is reaping the benefits of Reiki.

Some of the benefits include: pain reduction, stress relief, and accelerated healing. Reiki supports the immune system and is helpful when treating depression and anxiety. Reiki has become more main stream and is being added to hospitals and clinics across America. Here in Connecticut, Hartford Hospital has offered Reiki to its patients for over 15yrs. Reiki is a great addition to any medical treatment. It is also a wonderful alternative to prescription drugs and pain medicine.

Reiki is not limited to humans and can also be used on animals. Animals love receiving Reiki and respond very well to it. Reiki can be used to help animals in shelters or to adjust to their new home. Just like humans, animals will experience pain relief and accelerated healing.

One widely known supporter of Reiki is Dr. Mehmet Oz. He has discussed the benefits of Reiki on his television show invited a Reiki master on to demonstrate.  He has even used a Reiki Master to assist him during surgery in the operating room. In addition his wife Lisa Oz is a Reiki Master and she administers Reiki on him and their children.

Reiki can be given anywhere at any time. A Reiki session usually consists of lying down and relaxing while the Reiki practitioner places her hands on or near the body in a series of different hand positions. All results vary but most commonly the client will feel calm and relaxed. Reiki is certainly a valuable option to consider.
